Psychomotor Evaluation

1. Follows appropriate safety procedures

2. Demonstrates an adequate level of knowledge of the urinary system, exudates, transudates, and other body fluids

3. Demonstrates an adequate level of knowledge of special specimen requirements such as twenty four hour urine collections and semen analysis

4. Performs a complete analysis of urine including physical, chemical, microscopic and confirmatory testing in an efficient and timely manner

5. Performs analysis of fluids other than urine (CSF, synovial, semen, etc) including cell counts in an efficient and timely manner

6. Performs other testing such as occult blood or stool WBC that is offered by the laboratory in an efficient and timely manner

7. Completes and documents preventative maintenance as required

8. Demonstrates a knowledge of normal patient and quality control ranges and able to recognize and effectively manage values outside of the ranges

9. Demonstrates the ability to correctly document patient and quality control laboratory results

10. Demonstrates ability to correctly identify and label specimens for processing

11. Follows testing procedures using appropriate procedure manuals

12. Appropriately stores reagents and specimens

13. Correctly uses centrifuges, refrigerators, timers and other departmental equipment
