Haven® for Faculty and Staff
Albany State University in cooperation with the University System of Georgia Policy is committed to providing a supportive learning environment and fostering safe, healthy relationships among our campus community. As such, Albany State is a proud partner with EverFi to offer online sexual assault education and invites all employees to complete Haven® for Faculty and Staff.
Haven - Understanding Sexual Assault™ is a two part, online sexual violence awareness and prevention course. The widespread impact of sexual violence on students presents an urgent and pressing challenge for our nation’s campuses. Haven addresses the critical issues of sexual assault; relationship violence, and stalking, which impact countless college students across the country. Haven uses a population-level approach to educate all students and employees on the issues associated with sexual assault and relationship violence, taking into account their unique perspectives and experiences, providing:
- Key definitions and statistics
- Reflective and personalized content
- Bystander skill and confidence-building strategies
- Campus-specific policies, procedures and resources
- Rich data summaries to inform future programming
Frequently Asked Questions
In efforts to promote Primary Prevention education for Faculty and Staff, Albany State University expects all new employees to complete the initial Haven course upon hire. Returning employees will have the option to complete a Title IX Refresher module on an annual basis. Instructions for access to the refresher course will be published and annual dates for completion will be announced.
Haven for Faculty and Staff will take approximately 45 minutes - 1 hour to complete
Haven for Faculty and Staff will include surveys about your personal health behaviors to help personalize your experience and measure faculty and staff’s attitudes and behaviors. All survey responses are anonymous; Albany State University will only receive information about the faculty and staff as a whole and never your individual answers as an employee.

You will know when you have successful completed Part 1 and/or Part 2 of the exam when you receive a “Thank You” message after the quiz or survey. 30 days after you complete Part 1 of the course, you will receive an email with a link and instructions to complete Part 2. Once you have completed Part 2 you will have completed all components of the Haven for Faculty and Staff - Understanding Sexual Assault™
